The Secret Bakery Trick
Remove cookies when the centers still look slightly underbaked. The cookies continue baking on the hot pan after coming out of the oven. This creates that soft, bakery-style center everyone loves.
Cooling Matters
For gooey cookies: Cool for 5 minutes
For cleaner slices and firmer centers: Cool for 10-15 minutes.
Make Them Extra Special
Ice Cream Sandwiches
Let cookies cool completely and sandwich vanilla ice cream between two cookies.
Cookie Sundae
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Cookie Skillet
Place dough balls in a small cast iron skillet and bake together for a shareable dessert.
Milk & Cookies Night
Warm cookies for 10 seconds in the microwave after cooling and serve with cold milk.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do my cookies look underbaked?
That's intentional! They continue baking on the pan after coming out of the oven.
Can I bake only one cookie?
Absolutely. Bake as many or as few as you'd like.
How long does the dough last?
-
Frozen: Up to 6 months
-
Refrigerated: Up to 1 week
Can I refreeze thawed dough?
We recommend baking within 1 week once thawed.
My cookies didn't spread much.
This usually means the dough was very cold. Allow it to sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before baking.
